Analogue (14.11.05)

The album "Analogue" was released on 14 November 2005 in the UK; 4 November 2005 in Germany and The Netherlands; 7 November 2005 in Norway; 13 November in Australia; 23 November in Japan and 23 May 2006 in Canada. The album cover is white with a black and white picture of the band (Paul, Morten, Magne) against a white background. Over the picture there are some black, white and red artistic leafy designs plus a red a-ha logo and white title (going over the second "a" of "a-ha") on the right hand side. The cover art was desiged by Martin Kvamme. The 8-page booklet features lyrics for the songs, more of the red, white and grey art designs plus two additional black and white band shots. The reverse of the album is black with a silhouette shot of the band standing in an open doorway. More of the red and white leaf designs are printed in the bottom left hand corner with the track list in the top right. The disc features black, red, grey and white arty leaf designs plus what looks like some finger prints and blood splats. The a-ha logo is printed in red with an upside down "Analogue" in silver above.

There is a standard release and limited edition. The standard UK edition is sold as a "special edition" and has two bonus enhanced video tracks "Analogue (live at Frognerparken)" and "Cosy Prisons (live at Frognerparken)" which are not included on the standard European release. Otherwise, the standard UK edition is much the same as the standard European release, comes in a jewel case and includes a webplayer. The UK edition has a beige sticker on the front with the text "New studio album from A-HA contains 'Analogue', 'Cosy Prisons' & exclusive bonus content" there is also a standard silver "special edition" sticker plus "Parental Guidence Explicit content" sticker.

Some copies were used for promotional purposes and come with a round black and white sticker with the text; "PROMO ONLY / NOT FOR SALE" stuck over the barcode on the back sleeve. Another large white rectangular sticker is included which shows the release date and makes reference to the single "Celice", name taken from the best-selling book "The Da Vinci Code", it reads; A-HA "Analogue" Out 4th November Morten Harket, Magne Furuholmen and Paul Waaktaar-Savoy, collectively known as a-ha, are returning with Analogue, their superb eighth studio album on November 7th. Analogue is a showcase for beautifully written modern pop and opens with the brooding Celice, named after the device that crops up in the best-selling book The Da Vinci Code. The deluxe limited edition 13-track enhanced CD comes in a limited edition digi-pak. As well as the web player, it includes a bonus 25 minute long DVD with three songs from Frognerparken (Celice, Analogue, Cosy Prisons), video edit of "Celice" (cut on the "Thomas Schumacher Radio Edit"), interview clips taken from the EPK.

The limited edition version has a similar cover to the regular release, but it comes in a double fold-out card digi-sleeve, so there are a few minor differences in the layout. The booklet which comes with the digi-pak is the same as the one which comes with the regular edition. The reverse of the digi-pak has the track list on the left hand side with the listing for the bonus DVD on the right. The disc is the same as the disc of the regular edition and even has the same catalogue number printed on it. The DVD is of similar design to the CD, but the arty patterns are less black and more white and grey.

The album features songs written by Magne Furuholmen (tracks 2,3,9 and 13); Paul Waaktaar-Savoy (tracks 7,8,10 and 12); Morten Harket and Ole Sverre Olsen (track 11); music collaborations between Magne and Martin Terefe using Magne lyrics (tracks 1 and 5); music collaborations between Paul Waaktaar-Savoy, Martin Sandberg and Magne Furuholmen using lyrics by Paul and Martin (track 4) plus writing collaborations between Morten Harket, Nick Whitecross, Ole Sverre Olsen with music by Morten (track 6). The album was mixed by Flood with a-ha.

For promotional purposes, a 13 track "Press 50" CD was produced by Polydor. The disc is white with "A-Ha 'Analogue' 13 Tracks" printed in black at the top plus "Press 50",copyright protection information and polydor logo at the bottom. The disc comes with a paper insert which has the title and tracks listed down the side plus "Press 50 For Promotional Use Only - Not For Resale" and the orange Polydor logo at the bottom. Note that two of the titles are listed differently compared to the album: "Cozy Prison" (rather than "Cosy Prisons"), "Holyground" (rather than "Holy Ground"), "Treetops" (rather than "Over The Treetops") and "The Fine Blue Line" (rather than "A Fine Blue Line").

This Polydor promotional disc is very similar to the one listed above, but has track 7 listed as Windfalls, rather than Treetops.

There is also a 3 track promo Polydor CD-R which features Analogue (3:49), Cozy Prison (4:08) and Celice (3:41). It comes in a vinyl sleeve with paper insert. A-HA and the tracks are listed in black on the sleeve with the red, black and white Polydor logo below. "PROMOTIONS 8" and "FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY - NOT FOR RESALE" are printed at the bottom. The disc is white with black text.

Another promotional 13 track CD has front insert like the regular release and a white back insert with the a-ha logo at the top and the tracks listed underneath. Details at the bottom of the insert indicate that the CD is the property of Universal Music GmbH and is for promotional use. The disc is plain white.

There is an 8-track German album sampler which features the following tracks:

The CD is silver with black text. There is a large a-ha-logo at the top of the disc with "Album Sampler" printed below. Copyright information is printed at the bottom of the disc. The disc comes with a paper insert with track list plus a-ha logo and title.

Another UK album sampler (4-track) comes with a picture sleeve. The front cover features a similar picture to the regular release, but it has been printed smaller with more red, grey and black leaves to the right and below. The a-ha-logo is printed in red at the top with "Analogue Album Sampler" above. The inside of the insert and back sleeve features a grey and white silhouette of the band standing in an open doorway. Below the silhouette is the track list (Analogue (All I Want) (3:48), Cosy Prisons (4:08), Celice (3:41), Keeper Of The Flame (3:58). More of the red, black and white arty leaves are printed around the bottom section. The disc is silver with black rim and more of the red and black arty leaves. The a-ha logo and title are printed at the bottom in respectively red and black fonts. On the back of the case, there is a promotional sticker with statistics and quotes about the band; "a-ha return with Analogue, their eighth studio album. Described as "stunning" by The Sun, and "relevant as ever" by The Sunday Times, the album is a showcase for beautifully written modern pop. The title track Analogue (All I Want) is released on January 23rd They may well be best known for their decade-defining hits of the 80s but twenty years on the trio’s influence on some of today’s biggest acts is there for all to hear and see… "the first band I ever loved was a-ha" Coldplay "a-ha was always a rather misunderstood band. They were looked upon as a group for teenage girls, but in reality they were a very creative band" U2 "Take On Me is possibly the best pure pop single of all time" Keane "a-ha…they’re fucking great" Robbie Williams a-ha’s career stats are impressive, over 30 million records sold, 13 top ten singles in the UK and 409 concerts before uncounted millions in 31 countries. The regular edition of "Analogue" was also used for promotional purposes and copies exist which include promotional stickers - a round black and white sticker with the text "promo only / not for sale" and another large sticker which mentions the tour, airplay hit "Analogue (All I Want)", forthcoming single "Cosy Prisons" and the rumour that "Celice" may be included in the forthcoming Da Vinci Code movie.

Variations

Australia

The Australian CD release comes with the usual album artworks to the European edition and includes the Desktop Player. On the back cover, the full track listing as usual is displayed in white text down the right hand side, along with the Record Company details; "℗ 2005 Chart Promotions Limited, under exclusive license to Universal Music Domestic Division, a division of Universal Music GmbH © 2005 Universal Music Domestic Division, a division of Universal Music GmbH". Also included on the back sleeve which isn’t present on the European edition is some additional Manufacturing and Copyright information; "All rights of the owner of copyright in this sound recording reserved. Any copying, renting, lending, diffusion, public performance or broadcast of this record without the authority of the copyright owner is prohibited. Marketed in Australasia by Universal Music Australia under exclusive licence. Made in Australia. 9874699 wwwuniversalmusic.com.au". The regular white barcode displaying the same European number is shown along with the "Polydor" and "Universal" logos. The disc comes with the same layout and artworks as the European release and includes the same additional Australian Manufacturing and Copyright information which appears on the back cover. The album also comes with the regular inner booklet displaying the full track lyrics and artworks. The catalogue number is 9874699.

There is another pressing of the Analogue Australian CD album which is similar to the first edition, but additionally comes with blue and white Ⓜ️ printed warning "Moderate sex Scene, Drug reference" notice on the front cover of the insert booklet, and "Recommended for mature audiences oflc.gov.au" on the back sleeve. The barcode on the back sleeve has also been displayed smaller and oriented, rather than landscaped which appeared on the first edition. The track listing, manufacturing and copyright information shown is however exactly the same, apart from being printed in brownish text rather than the previously white. The disc itself is exactly the same as the earlier edition with the same layout and design, but includes the additional blue square showing the white round Ⓜ️ warning symbol at the top next to the title. The Catalogue number 9874699 used is also the same.

Brazil

The first Brazilian pressed CD is similar to the European release including the desktop player, it was manufactured and distributed by "Microservice" and displays the information in Portuguese on the back sleeve and actual disc; "Fabricado e Distribuido por Microservice Tecnologia Digital da Amazonia Ltda, CNPJ: 34.525.444/0001-62 sob encomenda da Universal Music Ltda. The disc also includes some addition copyright text; "Todos os direitos do produtor fonografico e dos proprietaries da obra gravada sao reservados. A reproducao, a locacao, execucao publica e radioteledifusao deste disco estao proibidas". There is also the "PRODUZIDO NO POLO INDUSTRIAL DE MANAUS flying Amazon bird" and "COMPACT Disc DIGITAL AUDIO" logos displayed on the back cover in addition to the regular "Universal Music" and "Polydor" logos. The white barcode also comes with a different number "6 02498 74699 8" compared to the European release and the catalogue number has also been changed to "60249874699". There is some additional batch issue coding AA5000 shown on the back cover suggesting that 5000 copies of the album were pressed, the coding is also etched in black around the centre ring of the disc. The album comes with the usual insert booklet displaying the usual artworks and full track lyrics, but on the centre pages, the band shot has been printed in grey, rather than brown.

There is a second pressing of the Brazilian edition which was produced and distributed instead by "Sonopress", it comes with the same regular layout and design as the earlier "Microservice" pressing, but the Brazilian Record Company information printed on the back cover and disc is different; "Produzido no Polo Industrial de Manaus e distribuido por Sonopress Rimo Industria e Comercio Fonografica S.A. – Industria Brasileira – Rua Ica, nº 100-A – Distrito Industrial – Manaus – AM.CNPJ:67.562.884/0004-91, sob licenca da Universal Music International Ltda. CNPJ: 08.975.642/0001-18 Denuncie a pirataria: [email protected]". Like the "Microservice" edition, there is some additional copyright text included on the disc; "Todos os direitos reservados. Prohibida a reproducao, execucao publica e locacao desautorizadas sob as penas da lei". The back cover also displays the same logos as the "Microservice" edition to include the "COMPACT disc DIGITAL AUDIO", "PRODUZIDO NO POLO INDUSTRIAL DE MANAUS Flying Amazon Bird", "Polydor" and "Universal Music", the barcode and catalogue are also the same as before. The "Sonopress" edition also come with a revised insert booklet which has been edited, so it only shows the track lyrics and doesn’t include any of the regular artwork pictures which appeared on the earlier "Microservice" edition.

There are at least two issues of this "Sonopress" edition which are known to exist and are the same, but come with a different batch issue coding shown on the back cover and etched around the centre ring of the disc; AC0000500 and AD0000500.

There is another Brazilian edition of the album which was re-issued by "NovoDisc" and comes with a similar front and back cover to the earlier "Microservice" and "Sonopress" releases. On the back cover and on the disc itself, the Record Company information is different and reads; "Produzido por NovoDisc Midia Digital Ltda. Av. Guarapiranga, 1671 – Sto. Amaro – Sao Paulo – SP – CNPJ: 02.073.507/0001-09, sob licenca de Universal Music Ltda. – CNPJ. 00.952.789/0001-80. www.universalmusic.com.br denuncie a pirataria: ww.apdif.org.br". The back cover comes with only three of the four usual logos; "COMPACT disc Digital AUDIO", "Polydor" and "Universal Music". The "PRODUZIDO NO POLO INDUSTRIAL DE MANAUS Flying Amazon Bird" logo has this time been omitted. The barcode and catalogue numbers are the same as the previous editions and the release also comes with the regular colour lyric insert booklet. Additionally printed on the back cover and etched around the centre ring of the disc is some batch issue coding; AE0000500.

Canada

The Canadian CD release is similar to the European release, but comes with a darker printed lyric and artwork booklet, the regular layout is shown, but on the "Analogue" lyrics it doesn't have the title cut off at the top of the page unlike on the German/UK releases. On the back cover, there is some Canadian Manufacturing and Copyright Information which reads; "℗© 2005 Universal Music Domestic Division, a division of Universal Music GmbH. All rights reserved. Manufactured and distributed on behalf of Fontana North by Universal Music Canada Inc., 2450 Victoria Park Ave., Suite #1, Toronto, Ontario M2J 5H3. Unauthorized reproduction, copying and rental of this re-cording is prohibited by law". There is a white barcode included but it’s displayed slightly different compared to the German/UK editions, the usual "Polydor" and "Universal" logos are also shown along with an addition round grey and blue "Fontana North" record distributing company logo. The disc itself comes with the same layout and artworks as the German/UK release and includes the additional Canadian manufacturing and copyright text which is displayed on the back cover. The "Polydor", "Universal" and "Fontana North" logos are again additionally shown. The catalogue number is 9874699.

Denmark

This 13 track promo from Denmark comes in a black Universal Company card sleeve. The track list has been printed on a white sticker and stuck on the back, together with the text "PROMO USE ONLY!!!". Although the tracks are the same as on the regular album, the following differences in titles and track times are quoted: "Cozy Prison" (instead of "Cosy Prisons"), the track time for Analogue is listed as 4:34 (rather than 3:48), "Treetops" (instead of "Over The Treetops"). The disc is a Universal Music Denmark disc (similar to the cover of the album) with a white space at the bottom where the track details should be printed.

France

There is an 8-track French album sampler of "Analogue", it features the same tracks as that listed above. This CD also comes with a paper insert featuring the track list, a-ha logo and title. The layout of the insert differs slightly in that "Analogue" is printed under the a-ha logo, the tracks are written in a mix of lower and upper case (rather than all in upper case) and there is additional text and record company logo at the bottom. The disc is plain with a-ha "Analogue" album sampler printed in black at the top and record company logos at the bottom.

Germany

A limited edition version of "Analogue" comes in a card slide-case. It is called "PUR Edition" and has no booklet or lyric sheet. The usual track credits which appear on the inside of the standard release booklet have been printed instead on the left hand side of the back sleeve. The catalogue number used is also different 9877405.

Indonesia

The CD release is similar to the European release. It comes with three stickers, a "HARGA Rp. 75.000, - ECERAN" round one, a yellow and orange ASPPN rectangualar one plus a small circular "Universal" hologram. The back sleeve states that it was Manufactured and printed in Indonesia.

The cassette also has similar artwork to the European cassette release. This album comes in a transparent case with the text "Universal Music" embossed in the tray. The cover artwork is similar to the CD artwork, printed in landscape orientation. The spine is white with titles in red and silver. The reverse flap is black and white with a silhouette shot of the band plus text in white and silver. "Manufactured and printed in Indonesia" is also printed on the back insert. The cassette is transparent and black with white titles.

Japan

The Japanese album comes with a white obi-strip with the red, grey and black Analogue leaves printed on it. The a-ha logo on the front and spine of the obi is coloured red with the titles in black and printed in Japanese. At the bottom of the obi spine, it includes the "Universal Music" and "Polydor" logos, along with the catalogue number UICO 1093. The reverse of the obi comes with the full track listing again shown in Japanese at the top with some further Japanese text to include the "http://www.a-ha.com/" website address and release date 23.11.05. A white barcode displaying a different number 4 988005 409904 compared to the European release is also shown at the bottom of the obi.

The album itself is similar to the European release and comes from the regular front and back cover artworks and includes the Desktop Player. On the back sleeve and disc, there is some additional manufacturing and copyright information which reads; "All rights of the producer and of the owner of the work reserved. Unauthorised copying, hiring, lending, public performance and broadcasting of this recording is prohibited. 2005 Universal International, A UNIVERSAL MUSIC COMPANY. Marketed & Distributed by UNIVERSAL MUSIC K.K. Made in Japan STEREO UICO-1093". The usual "Polydor" and "Universal Music" logos are also shown on the back sleeve and disc, along with some additional "COMPACT disc DIGITAL AUDIO", "enhanced CD" and "Jaspac" logos. The inside of the album comes with the regular lyric booklet and includes an additional white paper lyric booklet displaying all the tracks in Japanese. Promotional copies of the album additionally come with a blue and white sticker stuck over the barcode on the back of the obi, plus have the text; "SAMPLE" etched around the centre ring of the disc.

This Japanese promo 8-track album sampler comes in a jewel case. It comes with a white insert with picture of the regular sleeve in the top right. "a-ha" is printed in red in the top left with title and other information in Japanese below. The track list is printed below (Celice, Analogue, Cozy Prison, Holy Ground, Birthright, Keeper Of The Flame, Treetops, Don't Do Me Any Favours). The disc is white with a-ha in red at the top and title in black underneath. The tracks are listed on the right hand side of the disc. Both insert and disc say promo not for sale on them. The disc gives a release date of 9/11/2005 with the number UICO-1093 (catalogue number?) below. There is also a price of 2,548 Yen {tax incl.} printed on the disc.

There is another Japanese pre-release promo CD which is of similar to the one listed above except that it includes the full 13 album tracks plus four videos (Celice / Celice (Thomas Schumacher Radio Edit) / Making Of Celice / Interview). The sleeve and disc give the correct release date for "Analogue&quor; as 23-11-2005, unlike the 8-track which lists it as 9-11-2005. The album comes in a slim line CD case. The disc is similar to the 8-track promo but with the absence of the track listing.

Malaysia

The Malaysian edition is very similar to the Indonesian release, but comes instead with a square hologram sticker on the front cover displaying the text; "ori" and "TULEN KPDN & HEP ORIGINAL". The top part of the front spine also has the "UNIVERSAL" logo engraved into the plastic. On the back cover there is some additional Malaysian manufacturing information; "Edaran Oleh Universal Music Sdn. Bhd. (51112-M) G.01 Grd Flr, Wisma Academy, 4A Jalan 19/1, 46300 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia". The usual white barcode displaying the regular number 0 602498 746998 is shown along with the "Polydor" and "UNIVERSAL MUSIC" logos. The catalogue number shown is 9874699. The actual disc comes with a deeper red on the artworks compared to the UK/German release, plus the text; "Manufactured & printed in Malaysia" is additionally included at the bottom. The regular lyric and artwork booklet is also included.

Mexico

There is a Mexican CD release of "Analogue" coming with the usual album artworks similar to the European edition, which includes the Desktop Player. There is an additional silver rectangular sticker along the top of the front of the CD case displaying some black and white Spanish printed text; "A-HA ESTA DE REGRESO!!! De los creadores de "TAKE ON ME" La Banda que reinvento el sonido y la imagen del POP". When translated it reads; "A-HA IS BACK!!! From the creators of "TAKE ON ME" The Band that reinvented the sound and the image of the POP". A silver "ifpi" hologram sticker has also been included at the bottom left of the CD case. On the back sleeve, the Manufacturing and Copyright information is additionally printed in Spanish to read; "℗ 2005 Chart Promotions Limited, under exclusive license to Universal Music Domestic Division, a division of Universal Music GmbH. © 2005 Universal Music Domestic Division, a division of Universal Music GmbH. MUY IMPORTANTE: Este fonograma es un product intelectual protegido en favor de su productor. Los del fonograma se encuentran recono cidos por la Ley Federal del Derecho de Autor. The layout and design of the actual disc differs slightly compared to the European edition, there is no black colouring used on any of the artworks (only red and white) and the Manufacturing and distributing text includes that it was; "Hecho en Mexico y distribuido por Universal Music Mexico S.A." The usual "Polydor" logo is also present on the disc, but the regular "Universal" logo has been omitted. The regular album inner booklet displaying the full track lyrics and artworks is also included with the album.

Poland

The European Pressing of the Deluxe cardboard CD+DVD edition of "Analogue" was used as a promo in Poland. It comes with additional blue and orange "Radio Eska", black, white and grey "Onet.pl" and silver "ZPAV ZAiKS" Compact disc/Cassette hologram Stickers on the front cover. There is also a small white "Universal Music Polska" contact sticker on the reverse which reads; "Nagrania Muzyczne Universal Music Polska Sp. z o.o. ul. Gdanska 27/31 01-633 Warszawa www.universalmusic.pl".

Russia

The Russian release is similar (front, back and disc) to the regular European release, but there is additional Russian text on the back sleeve and also on the disc. The main difference is the front insert, the Russian edition has a double sided insert, rather than booklet, which doesn't contain the song lyrics. The inside of the insert is white with red, silver, white and black flowers plus a large red "finger print". The track list is on the left hand side in silver and black letters and there is text in Russian on the right hand side. The CD comes with a white obi-strip which has the title in red letters plus the red and silver "Analogue heart". At the bottom of the obi, there are logos for "Europa Plus" and "MY3TB". The text on the obi translates as "After three-year silence, the legendary Norwegian group releases new album precisely after 20 years from that time, when their Take On Me hit became leader in Billboard's Top10". The back of the insert has adverts for Texas, The Cardigans and The Future Sound Of.

Another, possibly Russian, edition of the album is almost identical to the regular European release, but has 3 bonus tracks which are 3 mixes of "Celice": Radio Cut, Live at Frognerparken and Paul Van Dyk's Radio Edit. It doesn't come with an obi-strip and appears not to include the a-ha desktop player. There is no text to confirm that this CD was produced for the Russian market. Although this release looks fairly official, the title "Cosy Prisons" on the lyric page is spelt incorrectly as "Cozy Prisons" and the title "Analogue" is cut of the top of the lyric page. The catalogue number is not printed on the back of the insert booklet plus more of the artwork has been printed onto the clear plastic ring at the centre of the disc. To be confirmed if this is an official release or not.

South Africa

The South African release is similar to the European release with a few differences: On the back sleeve, the full track listing is printed in a brownish colour rather than grey. There is some South African Production and Copyright text shown in white; "℗ 2005 South Africa © Universal Music Group. ℗ 2005 Chart Promotion Limited, under exclusive license to Universal Music Domestic Division, a division of Universal Music GmbH © 2005 Universal Music Domestic Division, a division of Universal Music GmbH. All rights reserved. Rights to all sound recording in this album/complilation are held by Universal Music Group, unless otherwise stated for the South African territory. There is a white barcode included on the back sleeve but is smaller than on the European release, the regular "Polydor" and "Universal" logos are also shown but there is an addition white "RiSA" logo included alongside. On the spine, the title "ANALOGUE" has again been printed in brown instead of the usual grey, plus the catalogue number STARCD 6975 172 has been displayed next to the title instead of being next to the "Polydor/Universal" logos. The inner artwork on the inside of the back cover comes with the regular format, but again is shown in brown instead of the usual grey colour. The disc comes with the standard layout and artworks, and includes the same copyright information which appears on the back cover, it also displays that it was "MANUFACTURED BY CDT" in South Africa and includes the three "Polydor", "Universal" & "RiSA" logos.

Taiwan

Thailand

The Thailand made album is similar to the European release but additionally displays on the back cover and disc that it was; "Manufactured and Printed in Thailand". The white barcode is also smaller than on the European edition and shows the same number but displayed slightly differently. The "Polydor" and "UNIVERSAL MUSIC" logos are again additionally shown. The catalogue number also reads 987 469-9. The disc comes with the regular artworks but is printed in a deeper red; the usual colour booklet with the full track lyrics and artworks is also included. The promo edition has a hole punched through the barcode on the back and has "NOT FOR SALE PROMOTION ONLY" printed around the centre of the disc in white.

Ukraine

The Ukraine release is similar to the German made European release and has the same catalogue number. It comes with a silver hologram sticker on the back cover with "A-HA "ANALOGUE" and a coded reference number printed in black and "КОНТРОЛЬНА МАРКА & UKRAINE" in silver. The back cover is identical to the German made release but comes with some additional copyright information in Ukrainian; "Всі права захищено. Незаконне копіювання прокат публічне відтворення та передача в ефір без дозволу правовласника запису заборонені. Для продажу на території Украіни". The CD comes with a folded insert, rather than a booklet displaying the artworks taken from the centre pages of the regular release, with the large band shots in the centre (Paul and Morten on the left side / Magne on the right) without any lyrics or track listing. The disc is the same as the European release but with the copyright in Ukrainian. Some, if not all, of these releases have been cut incorrectly so miss the "A" from Analogue on the spine.

There is a second pressing of the Ukrainian CD which is similar to the first but has a small map of Ukraine printed in white on the bottom right hand corner of the front cover. There is some additional Ukrainian Record Company information included on the back sleeve; "(P) 2005 Ukrainian Records under license from UMG Recordings Services, Inc. Not for sale outside Ukraine. www.ukrainianrecords.com". The same Ukrainian copyright text which appears on the first release is also included along with a contact telephone number and email address: "Ексклюзнвниїї дистриб ютор компакт дисків комнанія <>, Тел: (+38 044) 2471919 2023300 E-mail: [email protected]". This second pressing also comes with a silver hologram sticker. and again doesn't include the full lyric booklet, it comes instead with just a folded insert showing the first and last pages only of the usual lyric booklet, plus an Europa Plus украина& Optimum advert on one side and Music Television advert on the other.

There is a Ukraine album sampler CD which comes in a card sleeve with a small colour picture of the regular album cover in the centre, a-ha logo in red and "Analogue" in black at the top. The 8 tracks (Celice / Analogue / Cosy Prisons / Holy Ground / Birthright / Keeper Of The Flame / Over The Treetops / Don't Do Me Any Favours) are listed underneath. The black Universal logo is printed in the bottom right hand corner and the yellow and blue Ukrainian records logo in the bottom left. Also present is the text "Universal Music International Ukrainian Records Not For Sale. For Promotional Use Only.".

The disc is a regular CD-R with the text "a-ha Analogue Album Sampler" in black at the top and the 8 tracks listed at the bottom. "Not For Sale. For Promotional Use Only." is printed on the disc, so too are the Universal and Ukrainian records logo. Also included inside is an A4 folded information sheet.

This promo cassette of "Analogue" was printed in Europe, but produced for the Ukranian market. The artwork is similar to the regular European album. It was produced by ASTRA Records/Universal Music, "for internal use only". There is a silver Ukranian hologram sticker on the front sleeve but "Not for sale outside Ukraine" and other Ukranian text on the folded back part of the insert. The inside of the insert is white with the red heart logo plus track information in black. The cassette is transparent with grey text with &qut;ASTRA RECORDS" printed in large letters along the top plus the "ACTPA" logo on the left hand side. It also includes contact details of Astra Records but there is no mention of a-ha or Analogue!

There is a promotional cassette release of "Analogue" which was released by "UKRAINIAN RECORDS" and comes in a smaller softer cassette case than the regular release. The tape is white with a red stickered label and black text. The title "A-HA ANALOGUE" is shown at the top of each side with the track listing included underneath. On the left hand side, it displays Side A/B as "Сторона A/B" with the "Ukrainian Records" logo shown on the right hand side. Along the bottom of each side, it includes the catalogue number №98746998 along with the text; ДЛЯ СЛУЖБОВОГО ВИКОРИСТАННЯ. FOR INTERNAL USE ONLY displayed on both Ukrainian and English. There is some Production text to; "℗ 2005 UKRAINIAN RECORDS", plus some other Production and Copyright text to "℗ & © 2005 UNIVERSAL MUSIC". The release also comes with a red paper folded front and back cover insert with black printed text. The title "A-HA ANALOGUE" is displayed at the top with the catalogue number included underneath. The full track listing is shown in the centre with the same Production and Copyright Information to "UKRAINIAN RECORDS" and "UNIVERSAL MUSIC" along the bottom. The spine includes the title shown landscaped in the centre with the "UKRAINIAN RECORDS" logo on the left and the "UNIVERSAL MUSIC" logo on the right.

On the back sleeve, there is a small round black cassette tape logo, along with some additional Record Company and Copyright information which is again printed in Ukrainian and English; "Ukrainian Records The Licensee of Universal Music International for Ukraine вул. This US enhanced 1-track "Analogue" promo CD Album Sampler doesn't come with a sleeve. The disc is white with a black stripe across the middle. Printed at the bottom of the disc is "A-ha Analogue (enhanced)" in black with a horizontal line underneath the word "A-ha". Also printed on the disc is the compact disc logo and the text "CD.".
