Hunting High And Low The Demos (12.04.25)

On 12 April 2025 "Hunting High And Low / The Demos" is released as part of Record Store Day 2025 and sold as an exclusive crystal clear vinyl release through independent record stores. This 10 track release features demo versions of tracks from the album "Hunting High And Low" and in the same running order as the original album. These tracks were previously featured on disc two of "Hunting High And Low Deluxe Edition" although "Living A Boy’s Adventure Tale" is listed as the "demo" version, rather than "Early Version" as it was on the deluxe edition.

The cover shot is a colour shot of the band sitting in front of a mirror taken from the same shoot as the black and white shot featured on the reverse of the original release. The a-ha logo is printed in white letters in the top right with the title in black lower case letters below.

There is a small white and orange exclusive Record Store Day sticker with the text "CELEBRATE 40 YEARS OF TAKE ON ME! The Original Demos for the Classic 1985 Album Featuring Early Recordings of Worldwide Hits TAKE ON ME THE SUN ALWAYS SHONES ON T.V. HUNTING HIGH AND LOW On Crystal-Clear Vinyl".

The reverse of the sleeve is a grey / beige colour with a paper rip mark between plus three black and white individual early photos of the band members, one above the other on the left hand side (Morten, Magne, Paul). On the right hand side is the track list in dark letters with separate lists for "side one" and "side two".

The crystal clear vinyl comes inside a picture insert. One one side of the insert is a large black and white early shot of the band. The reverse features two different shades of grey / beige with a paper rip mark between. The a-ha logo is in grey in the top right with the title in lower case red letters underneath. There is a smaller black and white early shot of the band sitting at a sound desk (Magne in the middle wearing an Alcatraz hat). Track information is printed underneath.

The label on side one is orange with a large white a-ha logo and the title in black and white small letters below. There is also the Warner Records and Rhino logos in white. The label on side two is white with track lists for both sides under the headings "that side" and "this side". The Warner Records and Rhino logos are printed in black. The LPs are made in Czech Republic.
